A Gathering For Tea Lovers

Join the crowd of tea lovers descending on The Old Museum for the summer edition of the Brisbane Tea Festival. You’ll try new teas and foods, meet tea purveyors, plus learn new brewing tips and tricks.

The first-ever Brisbane Tea Festival is your chance to see, smell and sample incredible teas from all around the world. It is presented by Kym Cooper and Linda Trieu, who have been building Brisbane’s tea community since 2015 through events, workshops and festivals. For this festival, they have curated nearly 30 of the best stallholders to show you new ways to enjoy tea. Join us in November and immerse yourself in all things tea!

A World of Tea Awaits

This is a festival for all tea lovers and a celebration of tea in all its forms. So whether you’re looking for herbal blends, speciality tea, iced tea or even bubble tea, there is something new waiting for you. Your entry ticket includes a ceramic tasting cup, meaning there’s no limit to the amount of tea you can try as you wander through the buzzing Tea Market!

There are two parts to the festival: a Tea Market where you will find tea, foods and artisan wares, and a series of demonstrations and workshops that will show you how to make the perfect cuppa.

Come along to:

  • Talk all things tea with tea professionals and tea enthusiasts
  • Discover boutique tea brands from Brisbane and around Australia
  • Sample new teas
  • Try tea-infused treats
  • Discover foods that pair with tea
  • Shop for teawares and brewing tools
  • Level up your tea-making skills with demonstrations

Details about workshops and stallholders will be released in the coming weeks, so follow us on Instagram (@brisbaneteafestival) for announcements!

How do you make the perfect cup of tea? Find out in this workshop, where you’ll taste new teas and learn brewing tips to try at home. The goal of this session is to expand your tea palate and give you the confidence to brew different styles of tea with ease.

Led by Bhamini Lenehan, this session introduces you to the 5 main varieties of loose-leaf teas. You’ll also learn the story of tea, and Bhamini’s top brewing tips for a fail-proof cup of tea. Plus there is time for all of your questions about choosing tea, what to brew with and more. And because tea is best shared, Bhamini will give you one of her favourite tea pouches to take home!
