OZ TEA FEST IS COMING TO MELBOURNE
INTRODUCING THE NEXT GENERATION OF TEA FESTIVALS - WHERE TRADITION MEETS INNOVATION
Oz Tea Fest is launching a new series of tea festivals across Australia in 2026, beginning with its inaugural event in Melbourne at Abbotsford Convent’s historic Magdalen Laundry from 9:00AM - 4:00PM on Saturday 28 March. Further events in Sydney and Brisbane will be announced later this year.
Blending timeless tea traditions with bold, modern innovation, Oz Tea Fest is a one-day celebration designed for everyone from curious sippers to seasoned connoisseurs. The Melbourne event will feature established and emerging tea brands, alongside hands-on workshops, educational talks and immersive experiences exploring the evolving world of tea.
Dating back thousands of years, tea has travelled continents and cultures, shaping daily rituals around the world. Steeped in history, every cup connects generations, cultures and moments.
Today, tea has entered a new era and is no longer confined to tradition alone. Growers, makers and brands are pushing boundaries with new methods, flavours and experiences that reimagine what tea can be and offer fresh ways of serving, sharing and enjoying tea.
Oz Tea Fest aims to preserve, celebrate and showcase the past, present and future of tea, honouring its rich heritage and ancient practices while championing and embracing the creativity and innovation shaping its future.
