Welcome to 'The Women's Network'. We are a sub-committee of the south East Brisbane Chamber of Commerce, our purpose is to educate, collaborate and build a community of incredible businesswomen.


Please join us for our first online/virtual workshop - Business Fundamentals – The importance of planning, documentation and the right structure!

 

You will hear from 2 incredible women, Sarah Tebbutt, Director at Community Bank Monbulk and Tori van der Donk, founding Partner of Aegis Business Services. They will provide incredible insights and invaluable information to help to set you up for financial success from the beginning!


The workshop will run for 2 hours, followed by the option to stay online to network/collaborate further.


Speaker One - Sarah Tebbutt - Business Planning and Strategy

Topic: How to create and implement easy planning for any size business

  • Difference between business and strategic planning
  • How to create a simple strategic plan for any size business
  • How to integrate strategic planning into your culture

Sarah Tebbutt has been a Director at Community Bank Monbulk since 2013 and in 2020 was appointed Bendigo Community Bank Mentor, working nation-wide. Sarah works with boards of directors around Australia to develop good business strategies, planning and systems as well as leadership skills that in turn build good business practises. She also consults privately to SME’s, NFP & Social Enterprises working with leaders and managers on culture and customer service.


Previously, Sarah founded a tech company, was a finalist in the Telstra small business of the year awards, spent many years in sales and sales training roles, developing customer service systems, and assisting small businesses to gain and maintain accreditations, such as RTO and ISO.


Sarah has also won numerous awards for her contribution to communities through successful development of community organisations and has won an Australia Day award for her efforts. Sarah has a passion for engagement & connection to shape impactful outcomes for business and community with recent focus on recovery, resilience and enhancing capabilities.

 

Speaker Two – Tori van der Donk - Finance Planning and Strategy


Tori van der Donk is the founding Partner of Aegis Business Services, and is a Registered Tax Agent, and Chartered Accountant with many years of bookkeeping, tax and accounting experience.

 

Tori is passionate about the accounting industry and is very active in industry groups, including representing bookkeeping and accounting firms on the Xero Partner Advisory Council (XPAC) since 2018. In 2020 she was named one of the Top 50 Women in Accounting.

 

She has experience working with a variety of businesses and even worked in many industries, such as engineering, hospitality, childcare, media, sales, construction, and retail. This varied working experience has nurtured a genuine love for all types of small business and fostered a desire to help others succeed.


We are strong advocates of 'paying it forward', therefore a portion of all ticket sales will go towards a charity which supports women in our local community.
