The ride is located at Stanthorpe, the gateway to the Granite Belt and some of the best adventure riding in Australia.
Not only is the location central to fantastic riding, it is fully catered (restaurant quality) and includes camping with hot showers. On top of this, there will be riding competitions, trivia, talks from industry experts and giveaway prizes.
Saturday and Sunday evening have a three course meal and each morning a hot (and cold) breakfast. The food last year was FANTASTIC and we have the same cooks.
Our base is located at the Stanthorpe Scout Hall. It is on a large acreage property and we have the whole place to ourselves. There is plenty of room to set up camp, crack a cold one, talk bikes and relax. There are hot showers, toilets and a bonfire each evening. On top of dinner, there is a cash bar with soft drinks, local beer and local wine (Ballandean Estate Wines will be on hand for wine tasting and purchases too).
GPX tracks and suggested routes are supplied. There will be tracks provided to and from the event and for Satuday and Sunday. All types of riding are catered for except hard enduro.
There is plenty of room for trailers or even a caravan.
If you are by yourself, don't stress. You can jump in with other riders and even ride with OnTheBackWheel himself.

WHEN IS IT?
The October long weekend 4-6th of October 2025. Celebrate the Kings birthday by going riding!
*There is free camping on the 3rd of October 2025. This does not include catering but you will have access to showers, toilets and drinking water.*
WHERE IS IT?
The event is at the Stanthorpe Scout Hall, Darcy Road, Stanthorpe QLD 4380. It is on over 7 hectares and they have hot showers, toilets and a massive hall with chairs, cutlery and cups for everyone.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BRING?
While there are showers and toilets, you will need to bring your own sleeping arrangements, whether that be a tent, swag, van, trailer or car. Stanthorpe still gets cold in October so pack accordingly.
The venue is close to town if you need supplies. There is drinking water on site. If you want alcohol or drinks, there are local bottle shops nearby and a bar in the evenings with soft drinks, local beers and wine. All proceeds from the bar will go back to the scouts.
FYI, don't forget your bike key!
TRACKS AND RIDING

The riding in the Granite Belt does not and will not disappoint. There are some epic loops in the area, whether it be flowing road riding, a mix of road and dirt or some more technical terrain.
Want to ride solo? Go for it. Want to send it off-road? Hell yeah. Want to ride with a group of mates? Can't think of a better event.
If you want to tag along with other riders, that won't be a problem at all.
There will be no lead riders or sweeps and you will need to be self sufficient (have your own tools, tubes, etc). The event is big bike friendly. There are also breakout sections for those wanting to get technical.

ABOUT YOUR HOST
My name is Curtis and I'm your average family man who is right into bikes. I've been riding since I was little (I started out on a Honda QR50) and I've been hooked ever since then. When I'm not working, with my kids or knee deep in house renovations, I run a YouTube channel called OnTheBackWheel, where I review motorbikes and talk about all things motorcycling with no BS.
