The Hong Kong-Australia Business Association was established in 1987 to reinforce economic ties between Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and Australia. We have over 1000 members nation wide which include local business professionals, SME operators and large corporates.

Queensland businesses are now invited to submit applications for the 2023 HKABA (Qld Chapter) Business Awards. The HKABA Business Awards is a national program that designed to provide recognition and incentive to individuals and companies who strive for excellence in all aspects of international trade between Australia and Hong Kong SAR and China.

This year, entrants will be competing in the following categories:

Best Initiative Award – For outstanding achievement in a best single event OR a series of events/projects organised within the last 12 months which enhances and celebrates the business/cultural linkages between Australia and HK SAR/China.

YPA/ Start-up Award - To recognise the outstanding achievements of a young professional or entrepreneur/s who have developed their start-up business through Hong Kong SAR/China or with business links with Hong Kong SAR/China. 

Business Excellence Award - To recognize the outstanding achievements of the member associates of the Federation who have developed their business through Hong Kong SAR or with business links with Hong Kong SAR, in any industry sector.

Women in Leadership Award - To recognise the outstanding achievements of a female member associates who have shown leadership and achievement in business through Hong Kong SAR/China or with business links with Hong Kong SAR/China. 

Import/Export Award - To recognise the outstanding achievements of the member associates of the Federation who have developed their import or export business through Hong Kong SAR or with business links with Hong Kong SAR.
